Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)

■Reduction of energy usage

By enabling processing that requires dyeing just once compared to the regular process that requires dyeing twice through the development of our unique dyeing and processing techniques, Seishoku Co., Ltd. is working on reducing energy usage, quantities of water used, and the dye chemicals used.

At our Okayama factory, by converting fuel into city gas from heavy oil C, we reduce our CO2 emissions by about 28.2% annually. We have reduced our emissions by a total of 25,904 tons as of the end of May 2020.

■Upcycling non-standard products

Through the initiative of the NUNOUS environmental advanced materials brand that upcycles non-standard fibers with our unique techniques, we promote sustainable production and resolution of social issues.

■KURASHIKIZOME initiatives

We contribute to achieving the SDGs through the following initiatives in the KURASHIKIZOMEbrand of safe, high-quality textile products.
・We work on reducing and optimizing the amount of resources used (amount of water used).
・We conduct management through MSDS in order to grasp and reduce the amounts of chemicals used and convey information regarding the safety of chemicals.
・We control sewage emissions in our business to within the legal standards.
